Known for her Brigitte Bardot like look, the 2015 model of the year award winner, Anna Ewers is the ultimate tomboy style crush.
After
being spotted on a blog by designer Alexander Wang, german model Anna Ewers was
immediately booked for the Balenciaga A/W show and has since been fronting
campaigns for brands like Chanel, Prada and H&M and securing covers all
over the world. And just last month, the model-meets-muse was voted female
model of the year by her industry peers in a poll for Models.com.
But it’s
off the runways that the top model really calls the shots. Her street style
stands out in an unconventional way. It’s all about making a statement “on the
low”. “I like to wear one special piece and then combine it with
more simple and easy pieces,” she said to Harpers Bazaar U.S. It’s all
about the abuse of dark colors and oversized and uncomplicated clothes, paired
with a carefree attitude.
Her absolute
essential? “Handbags,” as Anna revealed to Imagine Fashion. “Particularly those
that are large enough to carry everything I need during the day. Then again, a
great vintage piece is always a staple as you can pretty much ensure no one
else will be wearing it.”
